I quit 2 part dosing about a month ago and started kalk in my ato. At first I loved it. My ph went up to 8.3 from 8.0 and my alk stayed right at 8.5. However I’ve been losing coral the last two weeks and don’t know why. The kalk is the only thing I’ve changed. Anyone have any ideas why? My parameters are steady and my nitrates are 1 and phosphates are not measurable. No temp swings either. I have done 2 25% water changes the last two weeks since I started losing coral. Didn’t seem to help

How often are you topping off the kalk in the top off? Are you stirring the slurry once and a while to keep the saturation up?

It may be coincidental with the limewater use, but phosphate may have declined due to the use (it may locally precipitate some calcium carbonate/phosphate where it is added) and the corals may be suffering for that reason.
