I wanted to start using kalkwasser but never used it before. I wanted to put it in my ATO reservoir but I'm kinda nervous that it will overdose my tank. How much should I add to my reservoir to keep my parameters in check and not over dose my tank I do have a 32 gallon biocube

If you are testing your alkalinity regularly, you can start adding a very small amount, about 1/4 tsp kalkwasser per gallon of water and see if that keeps your alkalinity relatively constant. Based on your alkalinity requirements, you can increase the kalk up to about 2 tsp per gallon. After that point the solution will become saturated and no more kalk can dissolve.

If you are not testing alkalinity, don’t use kalk. And, if you like what it does to your tank, consider using a kalk stirrer dosing kalk independent of your ato.
