You only need to lightly stir it initially. Then, only dose the mostly clear liquid from the top. The bottom will contain precipitation that you would not dose.

@Morten1234
To achieve max saturation I mix 2 tsp per gallon. My kalk from BRS says 2tsp per gallon but on the brs website it says 1.5tsp per gallon. Either way the water will absorb as much as it can and the rest will sit at the bottom of your container.

Also, my kalk. solution is always a tab bit cloudy as well.

Switching from 2-part to Kalk was the best thing I have done. My tank currently maintains 8.4-8.49 PH throughout the entire day.

In a kalk reactor it gets a bit more clear as it settles over 24hrs. Wonder if some of what you’re seeing is interaction with atmosphere (CO2) and is precipitate.

I can’t make it more potent that what the water can hold right?

correct

Just a quick stir and let it settle. It will not get very clear and also powder will settle to the bottom and a hard film will form on the top, all normal. 2 tsp is for max saturation anything more is a waste per everything I have read. I just use a heaping tsp per gallon so probably 1.5 - 2.0 tsp per gallon. Its not critical so I keep it simple. I'm running kalk in my ato on my reefer 170 but am using gallon jugs with a hole in the lid as containers so I can just rotate jugs out and have kalk already settled. The jugs don't look nearly as nice as your container tho.

Thank you so much. Seems it was just as it should be then
Thanks all

Does kalkwasser instans dose dkh? Or does it take time to process co2 to dkh?
That's a good Randy question.

Since the OH from limewater is reacting with CO2 to form carbonate hardness, and the pH effect is almost immediate, I suspect the process happens quickly.

Om asking because my dkh is taking a small dip now. But I don’t want to overdose my tank by turning to much up for the Kalkwasser
Was about 8,2 it’s 7,7 now
