I am wondering how much kalk to use in my ato. The ato container is 5 gallons and my tank is 30 gallons. The tank consumes 1 dkh per week, and around 10 ppm calcium per week. Should I just use 1tsp per gallon or more?

How much do you evaporate in a week?

It's not a perfect calculation, but 1/4 gallon of saturated limewater (2 tsp per gallon) will add about 1 dKH to your 30 gallon system.

I have no idea exactly how much water is evaporated. I usually evaporate a few cups per day.

That demand is low. Try 1/2 teaspoon in the 5 gallons of fresh water, and measure after a few days.

After a few days to a week, measure how much the reservoir of fresh water has declined. One way is to pour measured amounts back in until it is full again.
