so ive been using kalkwasser i tested my parameters and noticed my alk was 8.3 last week now its 7.2 calcium is high 502 hasnt gone down since last week mag is 1380 havent tested for mag in awhile i have my pump dose 1300ml via my apex from 12am to 1pm is this normal do i dose alk and stop the kalk trying to get my alk up to 8.3 like it was before

Do both, there is nothing wrong with also adding Alk or 2 part to supplement Kalk. I dose almost a gal of kalk daily over night and then still dose 30 ml of Alk to maintain it at 8.8. Kalk is great stuff and keeps the amount of 2part I need to dose low.

If anyone is using kalkwasser to keep alk stable, you should still have 2 part on hand for adjustment purposes. Looks like you had an increase in uptake, which is good.

Use the two part to adjust the alk where you want it, and up the kalk dose if possible.

I was thinking of getting a kalk reactor I hear the reactor keeps the kalk more potent but never had one I’m using a brs jug and just keep adding ro water and shaking once a day when I can sometimes I forget as far as my calcium being high is that normal?

I dose Kalk as well as run a calcium reactor. Keeps my Alk where I want and very stable. Have a high demand aquarium.
