Kamoer X1 Dosing Pump

I recently purchased this pump. I have it programmed to deliver 2.5 ml every day. I am using .25 tubing, and the pump sits 18” below the tank. There is 5’ of tubing from the pump to the top of the tank with about an 3’ rise. When the pump turns on by the time the liquid reaches the tank only 1mm is expelled. Any suggestions?

If the line isn’t staying full of liquid then there is a problem. The rollers on a peristaltic pump head should keep the liquid from running out of the line.
Also, is it setup to dose 2.5 ml all at once or is that just one dosage and it dosed the rest at other times of the day?

It’s programmed to dispense 2.5ml all at once per day on Monday Wednesday and Friday. No other programs

Make sure the pipe work going to the pump peristaltic tube barb connector is airtight. If it’s a little loose it can leak air.

I had to superglue all connections to dosing lines to keep the line airtight. Once I did that, everything started working as intended.

There are two other simple things to look out for with this design;

1). The peristaltic tube can be twisted inside the housing

2) Any liquid in the pump head housing or on the peristaltic tube gets transferred to the rollers, which in turn gets transferred to the drive shaft, which makes the drive shaft loose traction on the rollers. Simple to take the head apart and inspect / clean.
