This pump has been working perfectly for quite a while. During water testing today, my calcium had dropped unexpectedly. I tried to do a manual dose, and while it said it did it, the pump never triggered. I have tried a factory reset, turned it off and on, but nothing. The pump is connected to the WiFi, and no indicator of an error.

Anyone have this happen and have any ideas?

I haven't had any issues with my X1 so I can't give you any direct insights, but you may want to reach out to CoralVue support (I believe that they are the Kamoer North American distributor and support). Good luck!

Yup, I plan to tomorrow. I just looked it up and I’m 2 months out of warranty. I did buy a new one on Black Friday and ended up not using it for what I planned to use it for, so I’ll set it up tomorrow night probably

I'm sorry about the timing. They may still be able to provide some support even if it isn't under warranty. I know that they have helped me in the past with various products. They fact that you bought another one should help!

Did you check you make sure there were no breaks/crimps or clogs in the line? Can you hear the pump activate or nothing at all when you manually dose?

Nothing at all - it’s not trying to do anything, even as the app says it’s dosing

I’ve had this problem with a couple X1 Pros. You can temporarily fix it by taking the head off and cleaning the rollers and the pin. To fix it you’ll have to replace the head. They aren’t very expensive, however they have been put of stock for a long time now.

I’ve been watching because my plan is to replace mine every 12 months. That was 3 months ago and they weren’t in stock and still weren’t as of Friday.

Cleaning the heads should work for a while though, at least it does for me.

thanks, I’ll look at that tomorrow.

I hope it works for you. It’s a temporary solution at best. I’m doing it myself right now on one of my pumps. I clean it every Monday morning. I hopeful the heads come back in stock soon.

Are there instructions somewhere on how to clean it?

I decided to set up my new pump tonight. Took the head off the old one and it’s rusting! Is that what yours is doing @DWill ? I’m guessing yeah, that’s a new head needed. The rust on the post wipes off easily. Not sure how to clean inside the head though.

No mine isn’t doing that. Just a guess but I’ll bet there’s a pinhole in the tubing and that’s why it rusting. That might explain not dosing as well if it drawing air in.

the heads came into stock this morning on Coralvue's site, FYI

Tried a replacement head out today and the pump works fine now.

Good news. I just got replacement head for all my pumps. My plan is to switch them out about every year. Those head are inexpensive and take only a few minutes to change them and calibrate them.

I ordered 3 heads, so I have two spare ones now. I don't mind replacing them periodically either though I'll probably wait until I'm forced to rather than be proactive. I test weekly so I'll know pretty quickly if it's not working.
