Just wondering what people's thoughts are on the

Kamoer X2S Auto Water Change Pump

I'm thinking of buying one

If I order one in February for when my new tank arrives then I'll keep you posted planning on getting an auto water change of some sort just seeing my options and people's thoughts

Kamoer seems to be a good company with poor western exposure considering the demand here.

You can see here they have a x2sr release. not sure if this is the next iteration or just a different level mode. Either way no info...

I have the Kamoer X2SR on my 120 gallon aquarium. I have only had it setup and running to do automatic water changes for a week or two, so I don't know anything long term. I also do not use the ATO feature. I bought the Kamoer X2SR to replace a Neptune DOS automatic Water Change system. The pros of the Kamoer X2SR are that it is fast and it seems well built. It moves a lot more water faster than the Neptune DOS. My Neptune DOS had to run round the clock. I currently have the Kamoer X2SR only running from Midnight to 3 am to change the same amount of water as the Neptune DOS. The Kamoer X2SR has two modes, one that allows "in and out at the same time" and one that is "first out, second in." Because the Kamoer X2SR is fast I use the "first out, second in" mode. If Neptune DOS has this capability, I still don't think it would be fast enough for the 14000 liters of water I change daily. The con is connecting to my WIFI. My WIFI supports 2.4hz and 5hz. The Kamoer X2SR Water Change System setup only works with 2.4hz. To get the Kamoer X2SR connected to my WIFI, I had to force my router into 2.4hz mode only. After connecting the Kamoer X2SR to my WIFI, I was then able to change my WIFI back to normal where it supports both the 2.4hz and 5hz. The Kamoer X2SR was able to still communicate to the WIFI just fine with the router switched back to normal operation of 2.4hz and 5hz. Once you get beyond the WIFI setup issue the Automatic Water Change feature works great. I would say the software is not intuitive, but I was able to figure it out. Another con might be is that you cannot mount the Kamoer X2SR on a wall or board like to Neptune DOS. It has to sit on a shelf. The only other question I would have about the Kamoer X2SR is whether the heads are serviceable or replaceable.
