am thinking of getting the individual connectors and plug my skimmer/return on them. do you use yours for anything else?

I plug in the necessary equipments to that one; pump, power heads, light and heater. That way I can monitor whether they’re on or off, or working properly (by power consumption). Skimmer and doser are plugged to the regular outlets.

Forgot to mention; those usb slots are used for my usb lights inside the stand.

I was able to hook everything up to it. A lot of it has been for convenience sake. Like being able to turn off the ATO while I am doing stuff in the tank to prevent extra RODI from being pumped in and a group to turn off both the flow and return pump. The heater and light definitely didn't need it, but it's neat to see the power usage!

I love the kasa mini plugs. Only reason I don't have this strip is due to the orientation of the outlets. Stupid power bricks don't always face a convenient direction

Looks like the KP303 is also on sale for $25. Similar to the HS300 but half the size and without power monitoring.

I like these because they can be integrated with a few different control systems: Reef-Pi, Node-Red, Homebridge, Home Assistant... My setup is running in Node-Red with a KP303 currently and my plant lighting is on a HS300 synced to sunrise/sunset.

Yep! The Kasa app for iPhone and Android is well built allowing for a number of different scheduling configurations. Doesn't need a controller either since these are stored internally via an API protocol.
