Dang sorry about the loss. Tank is looking great!

Thanks for the reply..

actually I have not posted any pics lately. I've been battle major red slime outbreak.
Than to add in, I think I lost the Ruby wrasse due to a bit of ammonia in my QT that happened over night. I even used Liverock from the sump of the DT to help bio filter the water.

I said screw it and added the two other wrasse into the tank. Theyre just stressed ATM. the Carpenter was out eating for a bit.
Main reason I said screw it is because now apparently my one clown, the male. was in the corner on the substrate breathing very heavily. I just did a 1-1/2 minute freshwater dip on him. He seemed to take it well but went to the bottom. He didnt look like he was in shock from it at all.

Atleast I will have the tank system back up in a few minutes and than the skimmer would be on again for the first time in nearly a week.. Oh I also lost my white goniopora that my dad picked out and brought home, kind of knew its future was iffy but it seems this hobby is trying to kick me out back into the planted side of it. So far the reef side has been too much..

Woke up a few minutes ago, Lost the male. Will eventually get a juvie to go along with the lone clown I currently have but it will have to wait a while until I make sure that there is nothing in the system that infected all the others.

Tank is back at running at full system w/ sump and skimmer. Still expect to be battling red slime as I have been for the past couple weeks. Hopefully just a little bit more of it, hoping its just part of a stage of the tank.

2 reef fish in 2 days.. I didnt even lose fish this bad in my 10 years of keeping freshwater. Usually it would be one random death out of a huge school of tetra of about 30+ in numbers.. in that side of the hobby.

darn its been a bit since I really spent time on here. been busy but the tank is going real well. Im going to try and get pic updates tomorrow.

Thanks for the update. Tank is looking great! Nice to see that once you got your full system up and running and had better flow your slim algae went away.

Thank you, yeah things are running smooth only issue is some hair algae but as long as the sps is growing which it is than I don't really care.. I do plan to upgrade shortly but keep stocking of fish relatively the same.

Lost my purple firefish for unknown reasons :( It was after a water change, all the other fish/inverts are perfectly fine. Except my clownfish has a bit of a swollen mouth that is getting better, but this swollen mouth came about right after she and the male began to host in my hammer coral and she has been mouthing the arms of it so i would believe that is the cause, shes still eating so i havent been concerned.

Quick cellphone pic, I've been battling hair algae but it seems I'm winning fortunately.

Lost one of my blue chromis today that I had since I began my tank a year ago :(

I started with 4. Than about 4-6 months in one perished. Than today I found one dead in the corner. No signs of Illness on the body or any of the other fish so not worried about that.

I may put this to saying my clowns beat him up, the two of them have been getting a bit nippy with the chromis the more time the two clowns spend together. Or just the time for the chromis

Quite possible that I will be upgrading to a 8 foot, 300 gallon or so tank in the near future :) I have to upgrade soon regardless, the tank I have now is old silicone seals are tearing and back bulkhead of my overflow is leaking very slowly because I rushed the install... The spot the 55 is in now is perfect for it. Its an incove in my living room, it goes 26 inches deep by 92 1/2 inches long so a 8 foot tank by 2 foot would fit juuuuust right lol
