So I bought this frag from a LFS last week. It's beginning to show encouraging signs of growth, but as of yet, I've never seen it extend it's polyps.

I'm not terribly worried about PE, but it IS an interesting growth form to me. I know it's a terrible pic, and I can always take more, but I'm hoping one of you keen eyed coral enthusiasts has seen this one before and can ID it without much trouble.

I'm also not talking about whether it's a designer or custom coral, names like "Superfuzz wallhanger origami" are fine for collectors. This is just a random LFS frag.

It looks dead or bleached to me.

Unfortunately I can't quite capture the color on my Samsung as well as I'd like, but it's definitely not bleached, it has a rich pale blue color, which turns purple at the tips. I'll see if I can tone my lighting to the point where the camera captures what the eye can see.

Better, but not perfect. The coral flesh color is like cream with a blue tint to it, the tips are pink/purple. This is the first time I've seen the polyps out, that was after two hours of complete darkness.

sweet ,going to be a lot of branches there ,so many tips, baby this one

Hard to tell with no branches with coralites. Update when it’s bigger but I would guess something along the lines of acropora rosaria just based on the color and tips could be way off though.
