Keep Egg Crate Racks Clean

I am looking for tips on how to keep egg crates clean! They always seem to grow the most algae and my feeling is that it's because snails and hermits struggle to navigate through them.

Throw in a turbo! Mine keeps the rack clean.

I have several turbos, but I never see them on the racks, only on the bottom of the tank or glass.

Mine bulldoze frags out of the egg crate and I have to adjust at least a few every week.

Place the turbos on the racks. They’ll keep it clean.

I wish I could say that's worked They find themselves off the rack in mere minutes, the racks are full of GHA!

My overflow is guarded by egg crate, my snails seem to have no problem getting through it and down into my sump.

If your clean up crew is being selective maybe they are not hungry enough, maybe add some more? I recently significantly reinforced my CU crew, to they point I though it might be too much. The competition for food has has forced them to eat stuff they would previously leave alone.
