While dipping my coral in fresh water to get rid of a flatworm, I found something that looked like a centipede. Right now its living in a shot-glass. What is it? Should I keep it or chuck it?
looks like a bistleworm, i dont like them, and because of this reason, i dont use any rock or plugs or anthing from other tanks, and i dip my corals. People say they are beneficial by eating detrious.. but they can put thousands of cactus bristles in your fingers and hurt. plus they are ugly as sin.
I'd ditch it, maybe throw it in the sump. They are great scavengers, I had one in my sump and did not even know till I was cleaning out some chaeto, and it was one very long in there. I left him and it did no harm, wouldn't want that in the tank though
