Hi I have a reefer 450 and i am planning to buy a calcium reactor. how would i be able to to keep the ph in my tank up

For my money there is really only one way to keep pH up - bubbling outside air into the sump or feeding the skimmer. Everything else will have you chasing numbers and make you crazy because the effects are temporary.

Your reactor may not impact your pH that much. What is your pH now?

I use a reactor attached to my skimmer, filled with soda ash (removes CO2). My PH now consistently sits about 8.3 where it was in the high 7s before.

Agreed!
But also kalkwasser is a fairly economical way.

And cracking a window slightly open to lower CO2 in the house. Never had luck until I did that, the skimmer run outside did help but not as much as hoped for me.

Opening windows are great but not when you are living in an area where winter get up to -30c

Remember to calibrate you ph probes every few months when you start trying all of the recommendations on this post. I was having the same problem with low ph. I have an airline run to the outside of my house connected to my skimmer, and kept all the windows open for a week, but still had low ph. I realized I hadn't calibrated my ph probes for a while, so I purchased the calibration solution and calibrated them. The reading went from 7.6 to 8.2. Sometimes we search for solutions to problems, but forget the basics.
