Thoughts/preferences?
I have the Fluval 13.5 and will be keeping it stock - hood has to stay which means lights as well.
Tank is only a month old and I don’t have any corals yet. Plan to do mostly lower light corals based on my lighting limitations. However I was thinking if I have enough height in the rock work and more rock to elevate corals, Would I have more options with different coral types? Or am I just reducing real estate to place corals and for fish?
Current scape has an open sand bed in 3 main spots and max height is about 3-4 inches from the water surface. I was thinking to add another piece of rock at the far end corner where I have the most open space? Should be the second picture for reference.
Current stocking...
a Fire Fish and YWG. Plan to add a pistol shrimp and maybe one more fish at some point, possibly a small clown.
