So hello! I am setting up a new 220g aquarium. I'm going from a 125 to a 220. Here's my problem. I have my "dream" fish. A true red sea, adult, misbar Regal Angelfish. I love this fish and it took a long long time to find him.

The problem is - he eats nearly every coral I have/had. He's eaten my Zoos, Acans, Chalice, hammer, torch, etc etc etc.

I really like this fish - but I really like coral. If I stick him in the 220g, I pretty much know I can only do a handful of coral, or I can get rid of him to someone that has a fish only aquarium. I don't know how he does with SPS, but since I am upgrading lighting, I should be able to get some finally!

So, keep the fish? Or get rid of the fish and go for coral?

That's a decision only you can make. Angel lovers are going to say keep the fish. Coral lovers are going to say rehome it.

Ask yourself out loud what you feel you will truly enjoy more: keeping your angel, or loading up on coral? The answer that immediately pops into your head (before logic or doubt has a chance to in) will be your gut/heart telling you what you really want. That's the answer to go with.

I would keep the regal, and let him decide which corals you will keep.

In fact, I am in the process of doing just that. My regal will be here soon!

Either way, enjoy the upgrade!

Lol, we are working on turning our softie tank into a fish only with the help of our new blue striped butterfly.
The fish are easier to take care of.
But if you keep decent parameters so are the corals.
Keep the 220 for your aging fish population and use the 125 for corals.
