Keeping alk and calc solutions separate in dosing periods

Reading other material by you and others I am going to prob switch my alk dosing (via
DOS) from 6am to 11:59 pm vs overnight from 10 pm to 11 am.

That being said-to dose CA -do the two solutions need to be kept apart in the water by time or distance as not to allow for calcium precipitation?

I can offset the DOS timing -but sometimes it may be only two-10min apart. I can control it by specific timing (12 pm for 2 min) but I prefer the precision of the DOS operations.

To make it easy for me , I split the clock into four.
I dosed the alk on the hour and the cal in the half hour.
As I worked to find my dose , I increased each time by five mil, until I reached 8 alk for three weeks.
I wound up at about 25 mil day in the 55 and 35 mil per day in the 30.
If the jeabo can be trusted for exact measurements. And it can’t. None can.

That’s also why i did it that way though.

Issue is that with the apex I can dose exactly what I want- just sometimes timing is a problem though

I set my DOS to dose all day/night, starting just after midnight and ending just before midnight. Each of my 3 parts start their schedule a minute apart, so they don’t dose at the exact same time. Since it’s in my sump, flow is rapid, and each dose it tiny (like 0.3 ml) each is fully mixed in before the next dose.

I dose each 30 min apart all day. I didnt like my ph swings at night splitting the day in half for dosing

If I move the tubing to the second chamber in the sump that should resolve the flow issue.

The goal is to get one mixed in before it can mix with the concentrated cloud of the other additive. How long that is depends on the tank.
