Keeping alk stable for SPS

Ok...so before starting to dose are there other steps I should first try to take to correct the swings?
Also, I need to start dosing calcium because water changes can't keep up with consumption...calcium is about 385 or 390 right now because I haven't bought the supplement yet...could that make my alk swing up and down?

You just need to start dosing. Easiest way is to buy some BRS Pharma. Their ALK and CAL comes in bags that make exactly 1 gallon of solution. Then you can use their calculator for both elements. Type in your current number and then your target number. It will spit out the dose. You just need to break up the doses so that you don’t dump in a bunch of ALK or CAL at one time. Sure is nice to have a pump doing this. :-)

You can also dose Kalk which will maintain both with one solution. It’s very weak though. It’s about 97.8% less potent than BRS 2-part. So you would dose much more, but for smaller tanks it can take you a long way! Plus it will give a nice pH boost.

I'm in Thailand though and don't have access to BRS products...I just got some Red Sea Foundation A Calcium to supplement the calcium deficiency

Well that works too! Just use a calculator to calculate the dose.

You may be able to find their supplements in the list below.

Yes, it appears they have it listed:
