You just need to start dosing. Easiest way is to buy some BRS Pharma. Their ALK and CAL comes in bags that make exactly 1 gallon of solution. Then you can use their calculator for both elements. Type in your current number and then your target number. It will spit out the dose. You just need to break up the doses so that you don’t dump in a bunch of ALK or CAL at one time. Sure is nice to have a pump doing this.
You can also dose Kalk which will maintain both with one solution. It’s very weak though. It’s about 97.8% less potent than BRS 2-part. So you would dose much more, but for smaller tanks it can take you a long way! Plus it will give a nice pH boost.
