My alkalinity keeps dropping. Below are my test results for alkalinity. I’m not dosing in my 32 gallon tank. Should I start? Or should I be doing more water changed. On 10/24 I did a 3 gallon change. Calcium has stayed between 450-470. I am seeing some of my sps start to bleach.

10/24
Before water change: 5.7
After water change: 6.1

10/28 - 7.4
10/31 - 5.7

Looks like you should start if you want to keep corals. From your number it seems to be getting consumed.

Are you measuring Mg? I would presume with regular water changes that would be ok.

Thanks. Probably time to start dosing. No I haven’t been measuring Mg

Test your magnesium and to up your alkalinity, try baking baking soda in the oven and dose that. Usually, calcium, and alkalinity work on opposite directions of each other and magnesium kelps to keep them more stable so to speak.
