Hi guys,

This is the first thread I have started on here, pretty new to the site. How ever, I have a 300 lt or 80 gl tank, which is soon to get upgraded to a 4x4x2 tank. I do how ever have a harlequin tusk fish so having snails and hermits is not the best idea.

If you could suggest anything else that may help keep my sand bed clean and looking great that would be terrific.

Thanks

How old is your tank? What is your water parameters? How big is your tank? How many fish do you have? What kind of light do you have ? What is your flow in your tank? what kind of filteration system do you have? I know this is a lot but to answer your question I need to know . I hope you get some more answers from other members that help you to . ;)

Thank you for the input so far, any other thoughts, I know I might be pushing it but in my experience with sand sifting fish, they bury my corals a lot of the time. Any clean up crew that a harlequin wont eat? Sand sifting stars maybe?

What about sea cucumber.?

Always wanted to give one a try, but the potential to poison the tank when stressed has worried me.

I would agree with the Diamond Goby, luckily they stay on the ground.

As far as what else, I would suggest sand sifting stars or sea cucumbers as other members have said. Not sure if harlequins tusks go for horseshoe crabs but that's about it as far as sand sifting when you eliminate snails.

Considering the size of the tank I wouldn't be too worried about poisoning the tank.

Yes this concerns me to with harlequin tusk.
