Keeping powerheads running

Did some research on UPS backups and plan to get one primarily for the powerhead. I was surprised to learn the powerhead was the most important thing to keep running even more so than the heater.

Q: If powerhead are not running approximately how long until fish and corals start to go downhill? Is it a matter of hours? days?

Depends on coral and maybe other factors...but we are talking within 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Some might not die then but you'll notice them going down hill.

I didn't mess around.....I went full generator to run everything.
