How long is RODI water good for? Does it last longer if a powerhead or airstone is running in the storage container? What kind of container works best?

Just looking for yalls thoughts on the matter I just set up a RODI storage station for w/c and ATO. I am using a BRUTE can and will be running a powerhead in it.

I have seen a couple things about this other places the general consensus is to just keep it covered and moving.

I have the same Brute container and have it filled 3/4 of the way up. I don't keep anything in it to keep it moving but then again I'm taking 5 gallons from it every 2-3 days and filling it right back up.

I keep mine in a 5 gallon bucket with a lid on tight that's it. I figure we remove everything with our ro/di unit (confirmed with a tds meter showing 0 tds) from the water so what is left that needs circulation? If the lid is kept on tight then nothing should be able to be added to the water. I also only keep my premade ro/di water for a week until the next water change so it is not to old. Maybe I am wrong but I just never see the need to put a powerhead or airstone in my stored water. Maybe someone else can weigh in on this with more experience than me.

RO/DI, if pure, should be good indefinitely. I store mine covered and unstirred for weeks in Brute cans. Same for new salt water made from IO salt mix ( but I'd stir any mix that contains organics, like Reef Crystals).

I also store it in a Brute can with nothing but a heater in it. Once a week I refill it with new water as I use it for top offs.
