Keeping the sand clean

What about a brown or yellow cucumber? Assuming your tank is large enough to support it. I have two of them in my 360 gallon tank and the are constantly sifting the sand. Plus they are super fun to watch. Just my two cents.

Sounds interesting but aren't they toxic when they are stressed or dying?

Not trying to jack your thread, but would any of these suggestions work in an 8 gallon nano? Or would it just be best to blow the sand off with a turkey baster?

That's a good question, I know sea apples are but I have not heard that cucumbers are. I asked before I bought it and was told no, but whether the lfs was correct is always questionable.

I think having a couple of snails would be good but in terms of the sand, just blowing it with a turkey baster would work :)

I have 1 large tiger conch in my 125. He keeps every inch of sand very clean but doesn't go into the sand. I'm hoping I have a small army of micro stars in there constantly cleaning and turning my DSB.
