What do you do to prevent this? I have a small pair of wrasses in QT and Im not sure Ill ever feel comfortable adding them to my DT.

I have the same problem. I have a little goby living in my overflow and cannot fish him out. Hermits too.

Cover the top and teeth with fine net! Should be simple! Attach it so that it can be washed off & cleaned and put back on! Let me know what you come up with!

I had a problem with them going through the space between the overflow casing and the return tubing on my marineland rr corner overflow. It was pretty hard to see that it was an open area while the tank is full of water. We used 1/2 inch tubing, split it long ways once, and used it to fill the space by placing it on the overflow. I'm hoping it will be permanent enough. No more jawfish in the overflow for me.

Can they fit through the teeth of the overflow?

Im willing to bed they can. It's an external overflow so it's not like they would go far at first but I don't want to stress about it. I thought about netting but Im not sure how to attach it

I had the same fear with the same little guys you have (and the bellae), but luckily it was never a founded fear.

I didn't do anything about it, and it never happened. If it had happened, I could have gotten them out several different ways so I wasn't too concerned.

I tend to think they natural swim against that current if they get too close.

That definitely makes me feel a little better man. Have they grown grown much since you added them?

Yeah, a lot; like double. I added another tiny female a couple months ago, and then I really realized how much they had grown; fast too!

I had the same issue with a net you will have to clean it out almost every day. I was recommended by other R2R members to try gutter guard. It has worked great!! Here is a pic.

Hmmmm that could well, Home Depot carry it?

Were you worried about them jumping over the top or going through the teeth? I was speaking to the latter; I have an ABS cover which was cut to size on top of mine.

Through the teeth, the euro brace covers the top.
