Wow, and this was just some acrylic sheets from Home Depot? and they didnt crack when drilling? wow i wanna try this. i'm not very handy but think i can do it?

just make sure you support the acrylic both on top and below with the 1x6 or another piece of wood.

ah. so you sandwiched the acrylic between a board on top and a board on bottom and all clamped together, and BOOM... drilled holes slowly all at once? is that correct? if so i think i got it =)

I drilled some acrylic from hd as well, it is tough. Only reason I put a board under it is to not damage my garage floor. I also drilled a stack of panels no problem. You got this!

They like to have a tunnel-like structure that they can peek out of. For example, I had a rock that had a naturally concave bottom so I put it in front of their lair (hoping to move them forward closer to glass). Sure enough the shrimp tunneled under it and now it's their favourite look-out, although as others have said they have multiple doors. They used to have a couple at the side and back but over time they actually prefer the ones at the front and toward the middle of the tank. So I see a lot of both of them. It occurred to me that the goby liked to view the action but it's more likely they want to be in on the action come feeding time, as the goby will swim out 5-6 inches for some mysis.
