Following and hi-jacking slightly- no spread on my zoas and small polyps. Sps's growing well in my tank. I suspect my water is too prestine. Any advice on mixed sps and zoa tank?

Was going to post a new thread but seems like the participants here could possibly help. My zoas are growing. Some faster than others. But lately I'm getting shrunken colonies and some don't want to open. What could cause some to do so well and some look like they are dying out?

Yep this is what I believ. Heck as long as my lights are on mine are happy lol. I dosee aqua vitro fuel once a week.

Since I moved away from led lighting and went to a T5 fixture, my zoanthids have started growing much more.
Also I dose kalwasser in my top off water.
Lots of flow.
Tried a ton of different additives over the years, but never really saw any difference when I stopped.

+1 to dirtier water and moderate light. They don't seem to care about flow, one way or the other. I upgraded my skimmer, and my zoos aren't loving it.

I had a colony of zoas for close two yrs that had hundred plus polyps started from two polyps in a hole and then one day they closed and stay closed only to melt away...some will grow a mini colony then out nowhere recede to nothing
