Keith, have you turned on your lights with that screen yet? I'm curious if that tight mesh causes excess light reflection or significantly lowers par. I know you have a lot of light so par may not be an issue, but maybe blinding light coming off the mesh making viewing more difficult. Also with such a minimalist frame design how is the mesh holding up towards the center? Is it sagging or still like the day you got it? Do you think it would be better with support in the middle?

Love the lid it’s beautiful. My only “complaint” or wish I did different is I wish I had it made in two pieces, one for each half of the tank. When I have to get in the tank I have to take the whole 4ft lid off. It’s not hard just a hassle when it’s a quick in and out for me in the tank.

you’ll want to make your own measurements as your tank could be slightly different. Clearview with make a CAD drawing of the lid and send it to you before cutting. The take off just a sliver to fit it perfectly in the tank.

I love the lid looks great fits great.

Looks great! Thanks for sharing more info on the process. I noticed you have an auto feeder on there. Did you have them cut out a spot for you? Or how did you get that to fit?

Well this feeder came out from Hydros after the lid came. But it feeds small flakes/pellets so it just rests on the thick edge of the lid and the food falls through the netting no issue

It's been a minute. Update time!!!

SPS are in the tank. There are 15 frags total. A couple easy birdsnest and the rest acros. Prays up they don't die The most exp piece is a rainbow flames (whatever that is). Most of corals are from Pacificeastaquaculture in Mardela Springs, MD. S/O to Dr. Mac.

Fish wise, I have a YT, a pair of Cardinals, a pair of firefish, and a flasher wrasse. The wrasse is a bit of a bully to the smaller fish. Auto feeder runs 20 sec, 3 times a day. I did lose a single firefish and cardinal. Also my fairy wrasse jumped. Found him on top of the lid crispy. I blame the flasher. My lid is very tight fitting but does have space near the overflow.

Equipment wise, not much has changed. I am running the Radions at 50% right now but want to increase intensity(60%) or lower lights to get into some good Par values. What numbers should I be shooting for? (300) I picked up a Par meter(on sale open box), Apogee MQ 510 from BRS. Glad I did, Def recommend testing Par if setting up any reef. I was blind before but now I see! Lol Also picked up another MP40. Need to take something off to make space for it (toooo much gear lol).

Also switched to BW Neomarine AFTER TM PRO had their issues. Only dosing kalk at the moment. Having corals in the tank feels good! Excited to watch them grow. Anyways, looking forward to chatting with you all. Happy reefing!

Dude, it has been a while! Glad to see you have Acros in the tank...looking good! We started our builds about the same time.

UPDATE!!!! Hello all. The tank is alive and well. I have struggled with keeping coral esp SPS at the beginning but things are looking better these days. The corals shown in the previous post have all died and the tank has been restocked. New corals are thriving and encrusting as is coralline algae. I attribute my lack of success to inadequate levels of phosphate. Testing alk, no3, and po4 weekly. Dosing PO4 as needed. I have added a Fiji auto filter roller, a kalk reactor, and a recirculating CO2 scrubber. Some but not all corals included ORA birdnest, birds of paradise, ponape birdnest, purple stylo, green stylo, rainbow stylo, dragonfly, acroberry, poletti yellow tip, digi, green, yellow, and indo hammers, several chalices, candy canes, duncan, encrusting montis and many more acros I am unfamiliar with. Most of my corals are from Battlecorals and Pacific East Aquaculture. I will continue to make regular water testing a priority along with optimizing pH to improve stony coral growth. The current fish list includes clown fairy, carpenter flasher, noake fairy, pintail fairy, 5x lyretail, 2 firefish, 6x cardinals, and yellow tang. More updates to come.

Tank is doing very well. Super happy with where the tank is. Coraline is starting to take off as the tank becomes more and more stable. Stable Alk has been everything. That and keeping pH around 8.25. Nitrates are between 15-20 & PO4 between 0.03- 0.07. I do not plan on adding any more corals for awhile as I'd like to watch what I have grow. I find immense enjoyment from that. At this point, the tank is pretty much complete. I may add a wave maker to the sump to keep detritus from settling. I picked up the new Tunze ATO, and plan to add that in the future. Also added another Radion, found a G6 on here for $360, had to grab it lol.

What do you guys think of plumbing UV this way? Return pump has independency. UV pump can be a point of redundancy also. Nothing is glued. Just looking for opinions

Hey @coronarex What Bulkheads did you use on the return holes? I like how shallow they are. I need to redo my plumbing cause the included prefabbed plumbing that comes with the ext100 is not ideal, the included return bulkheads+the 90 degree elbows requires the tank to be like 7" away from the wall, I need to slim it down.. The bulkheads they have are some odd 3/4' OD diameter with a 25mm hole drilled in the glass. Cant find anything aftermarket.
