Kenny’s first 75 gallon

late thread my tank has been up about 2 months at this point but let’s get to it
EarlyJune someone in a local fish group sold me this entire set up since he sized up and bought all new stuff
So I squeeze it into the car and drive through DFW with wet sand and half a tank of water in my car

I found a nice spot across from my bed and got the tank set on the stand and racked my brain as I tried to figure out the plumbing on my first aquarium

After spending hours upon hours and lots of Facebook messages I got my plumbing done and tried to plan out my aquascape

I finally decided on this aquascape since budget was very tight and couldn’t afford more rock at the time

After waiting for my tank to cycle and clear up and going back on my trip I ordered a refugium start pack from algaebarn and saw my copeopod blossom within a few weeks

After about a month of being back from Vegas and making sure my parameters were cycled I got my first little buddy! A Yellow Watchmen Goby and a Pistol Shrimp who are currently very happy and constantly peeking out to see what I’m doing

Sorry about how poorly done and formatted this was was done on mobile and I inherited this tank while also taking a big step into saltwater without previously owning a tank was very nervous since i had only watched videos and read from here for a few months

I'll slowly update this thread as i upgrade my equipment since I'll be knowledgeable about what hardware is under the tank ; as of rn I'm pretty clueless aside from my Reef octopus skimmer i bought since everything else was just around in the sump when i picked it up

I promise for my next tank I'll do a better and more exciting build post
this was v disappointing
