If you like how it acts on your scrap tests. I'm pretty sure for this I didn't use a sealer, and I think it was because the shaped trim acted differently with it and everything matched better without.

Yeah sometimes you gotta go with the best color blend. Plus poplar doesn't seem that soft and has a fairly tight grain. Pine for sure.

I mutilated my pretty sump today. Trying to install a Clarisea SK5000, which really does not fit. But I will make it fit. I also had to cut the acrylic on the Clarisea.

Now the problem I ran into is the thing only comes with an elbow to connect to your drain line. I don’t have clearance for that. I need a straight coupling. But the thread in the inlet bar does not seem to be NPT. I don’t know what it is yet.

Working on getting this tank ready for coral. Been dosing lanthanum the last week and it's not even making a dent in the phosphate. Rocks must be loaded with it.

I’m still working on this. Right after I started this, my mom got sick and I was away almost the whole year.

I’ve tried lanthanum again but my sailfin has a hard time with it. I’ve removed all the rock to treat outside the tank in a tub. That’s done, now about to do a 200 gallon water change tomorrow!!!!

Late night getting ready for the 200 gallon water change I wanted to do last week.

Changed 200 gallons. Phosphate lowered from 7.0ppm to 0.5ppm. Going to run a bunch of rowaphos and see how much of a dent it makes. If too slow I’ll change another 200G of water, which is probably cheaper and faster than GFO anyway.

Running GFO, down to 0.4ppm phosphate after 12 hours. Aiming for under 0.1 by the weekend.

Added a Wave Engine to my Hydros collective.

Price of cables is stupid so I build my own. Here it’s a command cable…

While the rock is out of the tank, I am working on the new aquascape.

From 15.0ppm down to this. I’ll probably go down to 0.03 or so for now since all my coral is still in quarantine.

My powder blue came out of quarantine.

The sailfin is not happy but no blood spilled yet.

New aquascape mostly done. Should look good when corals fill in.

Still need to add another 30 pounds of sand.
