They do not sting BUT are capable of overtaking coral - Even the tank

Thanks vette, quick question do you know what can be causing a bump on my toadstool its had it for about a month now and ive had it for about 4/5 months now. Theres a bump on the top of my coral causing 1/4 of it to not blossom with green tentacles

Don’t forget toadstool shed every once in a while and release toxins to inhibit competitive growth in their vicinity.

As for the the bump. Not sure about that. I’ve seen nine twist into some whacky shapes then the shed and even adjust to grow and capture more light. Sometimes it’s just a small spot that does this.

Thanks for your input bud, mine has yet to shred since i got it but its been very healthy besides the lump sometimes it retracts its tentacles for a while day or 2 and then it looks back to normal with the lump aswell
