Not a fan of the regular pinkish Kenya tree with brown polyps.
Nice enough but too self fragging and invisible under blue lights.

Our neon green Kenya trees are awesome and effortless.
Picked up a pink with same colored polyps from a suggestion here.
It is doing great and is beautiful. At $100 a 2" frag I will have to wait and let it grow out.

Does anyone have suggestions on other colors and where to buy them?

Thanks!

I’m sorry that I cannot suggest a color morph for you, but I’m very curious to see how the one you described looks. Do you have a picture?

Also, a cool little one is a Japanese Pink Nepthea, although I don’t think it fluoresces much under blues, nor am I sure that it’s a Kenya tree.

Yes, the Wadi pink nepthea.

I think it's post 250 in "Let's see some of those soft corals."

Nothing too exciting under blues but at least the true pink polyps show up whitish and are more visible than the regular brown ones.
Very pretty coral, especially under white light.

Didn't photograph well with the cell phone right now. Will try again tomorrow during daylight.

Pic is the neon green Kenya tree under blues.
Lousy polyp extention right now.
Figured out yesterday the new cool green file fish eats more than aptasia.
Locked up for now and returning to LFS tomorrow.

I'm bad about using common names.
I guess anything nepthea or capnella should be bulletproof.
Have never tried Cladiella or Scleronephthya. Sounds manageable but not guaranteed.

Definitely not looking for anything dendro. Lol

Can't seem to keep sinularia happy.
Too much flow?
Not enough carbon to combat the Kenya trees, Grandis paly's, GSP and mushrooms?
Flame angelfish says Thank you?
No clue.

Tried multiple neon green sinularia from several reliable sources. They start out beautiful but last a month.

Pic is best one. Lasted 1 month. They just eventually shrink and die.
Not shedding, they never open again.

Vivid Aquarium and Blue zoo aquatics both list Kenya trees that look completely different from the pinkish/redish with brown polyps that I'm used to seeing locally.

Not sure if its lighting or what.
Has anyone purchased from them before?

Thanks!

I have a white Kenya tree! It's quite big.....I have also seen a violet version at my LFS.
Thanks!

Can you take some pictures?
It looked pretty. So did their regular.
Planning on placing an order.
Just didn't want to get their regular if it's identical to local color.
$15 locally, not $45. [emoji17]

Our local regular is pretty enough, but it's a self fragging mess after 2 years.
Kind of like happy Zenia.
Lol, hoping the neon green will eventually reach that point.

I don't have the ability to take pictures as I'm out of town currently.

But I can say that the "white Kenya tree" listed on vividaquariums was very similar to my LFS "violet" one because of the polyps on it. Mine looks almost bleached in color....almost like a Xenia. So, I'm not sure if the one online is similar to mine or if the LFS one you're looking at is xenia-esque.

Was the 'violet' Kenya tree expensive?

We just bought a 2" frag for $99. Beautiful. Polps are same color as base. Notably more pretty than the generic version.
Wouldn't mind it this one becomes a self fragging mess!

I didn't purchase because mine is in a nano, but I do remember it's price set at $29.99...it was with that egg crate of softies. Didn't just on it because I've had my smaller tank for only around 8 months and didn't want to get too much too fast.
