Kenya tree has damage on the side? Possibly caused by the anemone? Any idea what that is?

Possible. . . that said, in my experience, the "stem" of leather corals can get all weird as they grow larger. . . Kenyas are pretty tough so if it is looking healthy otherwise I would just leave it be.

The stem on my 18+ inch toadstool looks like some horrifying H. R. Giger movie monster skeleton after 6-7 years of growth and consuming various shells/rocks/sand/etc. Unless it starts to discolor, rot out, or slightly detach I wouldn't worry much about the base.

Would not say damaged but a typical rot with leathers often which happens at time of molt. If this continues, you will have to repropagate by cut straight above the rotted area and replant in the tank
