Kenya tree help

I removed a Kenya coral from the rock it was attached to and it left a piece behind. I was trying to save it from the torch that is huge in my tank. Question I have will the coral be fine even if it lost a piece of the bottom and will the coral piece left behind on the rock grow another tree??? Help!

I was afraid the piece left behind might sprout out well I'm starting a bigger tank so the torch will have more space soon. Thanks!

The torch shouldbhelp keep the stump from growing if it gets big enough.. You coud always cover it with epoxy

Yes! That's an excellent idea....EPOXY why didn't I think of that!
