My Kenya tree is not doing well I did a fresh water dip to get rid of the flat worms couple days later his starting to melt shedding skin of black looking disease stuff anyone know if I should frag him out and try to save what I can?? Or can I save him at all?

Freshwater dipped it? And flatworms? I’ve never heard of flatworms on a Kenya tree, my guess would be the FW dip is what is making it go downhill. Just leave it in your tank and don’t mess with it anymore, it will likely recover. I don’t think I could kill a Kenya tree if I blew it up.

Hope you didn’t take my comment sarcastically, I was being serious. I haven’t heard of a Kenya tree getting flatworms nor of people freshwater dipping corals, only fish. Was only trying to help.

I was told u could fresh water dip coral to kill flat worms, it really works great for my mushrooms, but I my mushrooms get really mad letting out stringy substance, but the flat worms were all over my coral so the fw dip worked good they fell off immediately. But this is new, news to me about not Able to dip coral in fresh waterb

**Kenya tree right side..

I have one of these. I like them and hope to propagate it around my tank! ((I did a 75 %water change and it looked like i melted it. It did recover slowly.))
Q: Why is it upside down?
Consider: Did you know they like nutrient rich environments (like xenia.) when it does open feed it phytoplankton green (seems to like it over the brown)

Can you please post a pic of these flatworms? I’ve never heard of flatworms on Kenya trees so I think you may have an incorrect ID.

Okay so his doing much better Seems like he’s pulling through thank you for the info I’m glad I did not flag him out The flat worms are on my mushrooms mainly they’re like little spots on the mushrooms they do move to vibration but they are pest
