Kessel ap700 thoughts. Ima pull the trigger if so

My lights are hung from a 10' ceiling and the Kessil cables have a long more length to them so could be used on much higher ceilings also. I love the sleek design of them. They can easily reach depths up to 30" maybe more depending on how mounted.

I have had them 10 months and 3 months on this system as it currently sits. I have great growth and color on my SPS, LPS and Zoas with only the AP700s.

Looks like a HUGE dark spot in the centre there.

I've played with it at the lfs, and would choose it over radions for sure. But I'm still not completely sold.

The appearance of that dark spot is because my older tank has a double plate of glass in the center covering almost 1/3 of the top of my tank. Unfortunately it does block some light. If not for that glass I would have mounted the lights center to each half, instead my lights are further towards each end, still I do get light in there and grow some corals despite the glass blocking 50% or more of my intensity in that area. Due to the mounting height and the AP700 spread it actually reaches under the glass better than through it.

oh no. those things are spooky smooth with the spread. it took one on a 48in tank @12in and there was not a high or low spot till you got to the very edge of the tank.
I was the nerd at macna with the meter.

Makes me proud. [emoji6]

Couldn't be happier ATM with ATI T5/AP700 combo. Switched from mh/vho after well over 10 years of use. Ap700 works solo. But if you can, go combo. Makes a big difference.

gotta pic on how you did that? the AP just looked so wide.

All 8 t-5's and 3 ap700. Max is 65 on the leds. Leds are on for about 12 hours but ramp up and down with only a 3 hour peak at 65%. T5s are on for 8.

Holy crap! That is how you do it!
Have you metered your par?
I have a guess.

My gut says 1500 par at the top of the water. But what Id say is 1200 to 1600 par.

Do you have a Tank thread here? Id love to see one.

I'm new here. I should do one. Have one on another forum but it's more of a collection of update pics over time for progression reasons.
Heck Id love to see some of those pics here too.
If your a stick guy, have you met/visited Diesels tank yet? You have too.

I have really been debating between the AP700 and Radion G4 pros. Have they released the android app for the AP700? If they did release the android app for the AP700 has anyone been using it?

The no apex is killn me on em but will get em and pray for it 2 come. I can like with wifi
