How many Kessil 360's would I need for a Mr. Aqua 12g Long? Would one be enough or would it be too long and I need a second one?

Currently in the information gathering stage of my build.

So I would require 2 of them. I figured as much. Oh well at least that gives potential for future upgrades as well. Thanks for the quick response.

This budget is growing by the day :-)

You will have a lot of wasted light having 2 kessils over that tank because there is very little depth. Have you considered t5 lighting? A two bulb or even a single bulb depending on what coral species you plan to keep.

How bad would the waste be? I wouldn't mind the waste if the effect isn't negative. I did think of T5's however the lady is firmly against it.

The light is rated for 24"x24" and I think that tank is only 9" or so wide and about 9" deep? For such as shallow and narrow tank you would need the lights rather high or dimmed way down or you could burn coral. Maybe one light would work if you could put the light high enough but again you will have a lot of overcasting light.
