So, I have had 2 pc bulbs of 4 burn out, as well as a mh ballast that flickers on and off. It's safe to say that it's time to replace this fixture.

I have a deal worked out for $400 for 5 kessil 360we tuna blues, and now I'm looking for mounting options. The tank is a peninsula, so arm mounts are out of the question.

Is there something like the rms rail for kessils? I was even thinking of getting some t-slot and make a fixture.

Here's the tank as it sits. I'd prefer to have all the wiring come to the end of the tank and down the corner by the wall.

I used an Orphek mount and a piece of rectangle aluminum bar to make a mount for mine.

Just like that!!

Is that custom?

It is something I did myself. It wasn't overly difficult however with more lights I would suggest a larger T-Slot style to help accomodate the wiring. You can "Skin" the outer wire sheath and MAYBE get away with the same style I have. The cable and mounts were purchased at MBS Stand-offs and can hold 65 pounds. So tons of support.

I mount all of my Kessils on T-slot using a combination of an adaptor:
A nylon spacer picked up at the local Ace Hardware (I can't remember the thickness, but you don't want the adaptor thread to hit the fan)
and video/surveillance camera gimbal mounts like these
using these to connect to the camera gimbal along with the rubber washer to firm up the connection
(screw adaptor)
(rubber washer)

Assemble, then simply turn into an 80/20 economy T-nut

Here's an assembled pic:

This allows you to mount the Kessil pretty much anywhere there's a T-slot, and the 80/20 material allows you to build pretty much anything you want for a rack. If you only have a couple Kessils, it would be easy to fit the wiring into the T-slot to hide it if need be.

Hope this helps.
Cheers,
