I am starting up a new 150 gal tank 72x18x25. I want to have the flexibilty to grow SPS corals if decide to do so in the future. The LFS is suggesting i use two Fluval Sea Marine 48 wat 36" LED strips. I feel that will handicap me in the tank down at lower levels with anemones and LPS. If i made the decision to go with Kessil 360We A) how many would you recommend i use in this size tank b) im reading alot about the lights not lasting long anyone else have positive experiences where the light DOES last long?

Thank you

Welcome to R2R! You'll want a minimum of 4 Kessils for a tank that size. As long as the lights are properly cared for (wiped down of salt creep, and blow out dust with compressed air regularly) they'll last a long time. Plus Kessils customer service is absolutely excellent. Never had an issue they were not able to resolve very quickly and they always respond :)

I agree 4 is probably a good number to start with. If you decide you want to get more heavily into higher light demanding corals you can easily add additional units and space your pucks closer together. Or you could easily add in T5s with a retrofit option or something like a 60" aquaticlife fixture.

Kessils will last just fine if you maintain them.

Sorry to jump in this......
I'm starting a 24" X 24" X 12" frag tank
LPS & SPS
will one of these kessils work?
Yes, you'll need to place your higher light frags more center and up. For lps and softies, the par output / spread should be very good for that footprint.

For some par numbers, check out BRS video. Note, this is for the the older we version that the original poster asked about.
