Hey Everyone,

Currently cycling my new Red Sea Reefer Nano - loving it so far even though its just filled with sand, dry rock, and water.

My question to everyone is, I have been playing around with my spectral controller making quick sets. No problem creating the sets, and seeing how the LED adjusts depending on my parameters. The issues I am encountering is that my LED is not actually following the program I created. LED works totally fine, controller is able to adjust the lights and I am able to preview my set with no issues which leaves me stumped as to why the program is not actually being carried out.

I am selecting the correct port with my desired setting, cables are plugged into the correct inputs / outputs... However, while playing around with it I initially set it into acclimation mode (last night) and realized it may be trying to cycle through the acclimation mode before enabling my quick set. Is that a thing? Is this just user error? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Correct. If you run the acclimation mode over your regular quick set it will run your program but at a predetermined percentage.
Give this video by bulk Reed supply a view. Should help :)

Awesome, glads that's what is happening. Thanks for the quick reply and info. So once acclimation mode is 'over' it should just run through my normal program, correct?

Correct, once the acclimation is over, itll default to whichever quickest you assigned to it.

If you go into your port select, you should be able to choose which preset, or acclimation mode you want for both port 1 and port 2. You don't have to go thru acclimation if you don't want to. The controller will gradually work up to whichever preset you have selected in the acclimation mode tho. It ranges from 1 to 14 days.

Gotcha. I suppose that brings up something I forgot to mention. I set the acclimation mode last night, and changed it to one of my quicksets when I got home from work today and even after changing the port setting, its not turning on the LED. I even made a quickset start about 15 minutes out from when I changed the setting. Still nothing. You think its stuck on acclimation mode still?

Check your settings again in the quickset. Might have picked one where the lights don't turn on. Make sure the intensity goes to 0 at the last point. Made that mistake once, the light never turned off. Also make sure the 3.5mm cable is plugged into the correct port on the controller and the input on the 160.

BTW, nice choice in lights...

Good points, cross checked the input - it is correct. Here are some pics that may be more insightful than my comments. Had some creeping doubts until I turned them on and saw the shimmer :)

PS - the shot with the lights on it just to show that I can preview each time interval setting and the light produces the correct output.
