Hello, my name is Robert & I currently have a Current USA Orbit marine LED over my 5Gal Nano Reef.. I've have the reef tank set up for years now, switched over to LED 3 years ago after having success with previous tanks. I recently started adding zoanthids to my tank, it was a fish only tank (Clown Pair) and my love for zoas made me change that these last few weeks..

I recently came across a Kessil A150W at a great price, now my question. What LED light would I benefit from having over my tank (Zoas & maybe Sps in the future). I know Kessil has the name behind it, just want to ask the community..

IMO both of those are fine or that tank. just different. youll get more light intensity from the 150 but Im pretty sure you dont need it. Might be fun though.
Me I Id set up a 5g COWLer with the kessel:D

I'm going to scoop it up, maybe running both would look nice too...

the blue on the Current is pretty killer. "royal blue" more on the 420 to 450.

Ahhh SO MANY CHOICES!!!!:D

The more videos I see of the kessils shimmer, the more I like this light. Looks like I can't go wrong with the Kessil.. My Current Orbit is nice because of the programming capabilities, but maybe I'm just looking for an upgrade.. the clean look of the Kessil with gooseneck is also a plus.. Thanks for the responses everyone. .

Anyone have both a Current & Kessil running on they're system? Wondering what the color will look like..
I'm afraid the kessil would be too "Blue"

what kelvin color is the kessel, is it the tuna blue?

It's the Ocean Blue one..
all of them have a kelvin rating the 20k is pretty dang blue. 10 14 15 kn arent bad. and you can mix the current. totally worth playing around with anyway. Id set the kesel, blend the orbit to taste and intensity peak, mark it and have the orbit ramp up to that setting and let the kessel snap on.
but Im five:)

I have a current USA, and agree visually it looks great but it's not strong. I had to supplement it with a fluval for the stuff requiring medium high lighting. Eventually I'll probably replace both with radions though.

I know this is an old discussion, but it piqued my interest.

I was thinking of supplementing my Orbit Marine Pro LED with a Kessil 360we. My tank dimensions are 35.5" x 19.5" x 21.5". Just wondering what an Orbit Marine/Kessil 360we combo would look like. I love my Orbit Marine Pro, but a little more light would be nice.
