Kessil a150w..review. thinking about a change?

So I have been running 2 Kessil a150w's over my 57 gallon rimless reef for almost two years. I keep my parameters in check but have seen very little to no growth on all my sps and lps. I am thinking about changing to T5's or maybe radion's or hydra. Anyone else have experience with the kessil pendants? they just seem no lack enough PAR for sps and lps. thoughts?

Depends on how high they are hanging and what the dimensions of your tank are

I think it is a par issue and a spectrum issue. Look at the spectrum and PAR on reefbreeders of Radion and then look at it on two a150w's. I switched from vegas (a not so hot LED light in my opinion) to t5 and growth easily doubled, and a lot of SPS that had been dormant or just encrusting for a year started sending up shoots. For me it was night and day. Not all lighting, and not all LED, are created equal.

Actual power draw on a K150 is pretty low. I know all LEDS are not created equally, but when an LED fixture is drawing 160W, it's going to put out a LOT more light then a slighter higher efficiency fixture at much lower power draw.

I have the kessil a150 and have been watching my corals grow pretty well. In 3 months a zoa colony with 20 heads went up to about 40-50. My sps are growing at a decent rate. My chalice loves it and is now growing to close to my favia. I personally enjoy the growth from this light.
