Hello!

So I have two Kessil A160's over my RedSea Reefer 250. I have had them for awhile now and most of my corals seem to be pretty happy. I currently been running a 12 hour cycle with a 3 hour ramp up, 6 hours at 30% color and 60% intensity, with a 3 hour ramp down.

My question is that the overall coloration during the peak time is a bit "whiter" than I would prefer and I am wondering if 60% intensity is to low for my tank considering these are only a160's. Maybe I would see much more significant growth (not to mention color pop in my corals) if I started slowly Rampling up my peak intensity (leaving my color at 30%). Basically, I just want to run them slightly bluer and curious what if any negative impacts this could have.

Does anybody have any expire with running them at say 30% color, 100% intensity at peak?

Right now, I just have softies and LPS, but plan to add SPS in the near future once I get everything dialed in the way I want it.

Any info/experience would be greatly appreciated.

I ran a BioCube with a 160 at 100% power so I am pretty sure you can increase intensity without problems. With Kessils color has very little effect on PAR because of Kessil Logic which auto balances the colors at any setting. I would change the color to what you like and then use the acclimation mode on the spectral controller to slowly increase the intensity over time.

I currently have 7 kessil lights on three different tanks so i am pretty familiar with them. I run them between 40%-50% color during the peak of the photo period.

I have 2 160's over my 75 gallon. Im wondering if i should bump up their intensity to get more color and growth. Have you bumped your intensity up with good results? Mine sit 7.5" above the water and peak at 45%.
