Kessil A160 tuna blue - problems?

Hi Fellow Reefers,

I noticed my kessil light, flickers ( shine unsteadily) sometimes during the day. Is it a sign of the bulb will fail soon?

Have anyone experience this? Greatly appreciate the help!

When was the last time it was thoroughly cleaned? If the heatsink and fan are clogged up with dust bunnies, it could be a heat related issue. On another note, is the light connected to controller?

thanks for the response I haven't cleaned it since I bought it back in 2015 and yes its connected to the kessil controller.

Have you change the plug configuration on your controller, that will cause your light to flicker, so will over heating.

no haven't done anything with plug configuration, but I do see a build of dust so i'll clean it up now with the shopvac
