I have a ten gallon soon to be reef and im considering a light upgrade to a Kessil A160WE with the Spectral Controller and Gooseneck mount. Is this practical? The tank will consist of any of the following to start: zoanthids, green star Polyps, gold torch coral, frogspawn, and possibly an anemone.

That's will be perfect fit for that type of Tank corals selection would be perfect as well.

Thanks. Would like to get it near Christmas time. Do you think the anemone will thrive under the light and in such a small tank?

AI Prime works too and has a controller built in .Kessil A160 ,controller and mount is gonna cost more

What type of nem? Most will get too big for a 10 and if it moves or gets too big it will kill your awesome corals.

I haven't done too much research on the al prime but I'm willing to spend a premium. There's just something about Kessil that makes me want to jump on the bandwagon.

Haven't decided yet, I'd either get the nem first, and stick with just a anemone tank, or get a nem first and then add corals and once he gets too big export him to the 110 gallon reef

I have a RBTA in a IM Fusion 10 with a A160. The nem is thriving and the A160 is plenty. The nem has doubled in size literally every month for the past 6 months. Its about time to move to a bigger tank.

Great too hear. What to you dose and how do you dose it? I would love to know more about how you keep your nem.

No dosing. Weekly 2 gal WC. I feed Mysis/brine/Phyto soaked in Selcon once a week. Tank has been up for a year.

No problem. If you plan to try/use Selcon I would use it sparingly. I use 2-3 drops mixed with a little tank water to soak food in for each weekly feeding. Too much can cause algae outbreaks.

Go with the Kessil.

Yes, Prime is Cheaper but my friend has them and all he does is complain about how it never works due to updates that are not fixed.

I look at it and see all these Pink Dots glittering in his tank and think who thought Pink LED's would be a good idea for a Reef Tank?

It is the Ugliest Light that I have ever seen!

I have Kessil A150's and A160's on 10 and 20 Gallon Tanks too and they work great.

Do you have a build thread or a thread dedicated to your two reefs?
