Im getting a slightly used one for my 30 gallon and Im wondering how long it will last. Also how should I run the channels?

If i had to guess I would say you probably get about 5-6 years from it until the brightness get a bit dull

Thats more than enough time to make the price worth it. I might get a replacement just in case it dies for some reason.

There no right answer for how to set color and intensity. It completely depends on your individual tank. What are the dimensions? What is in your tank? SPS? LPS? Softies?

Because it uses Kessil Logic, you won't be setting all of the different color channels... it always uses the proper blue colors for coral health... basically the color knob turns up or down the amount of white light, which is basically an aesthetic thing.

Im doing softies, lps, and some easier sps like monti caps eventually. Corals do need some red light so I will give at least some white. Fo you have a recommened intensity?

What spectrums does white light emit anyways? Is it just red light around the 600nm range or is it full spectrum?

White light is red, yellow, and green.

I'd go with 50% intensity to start and see how it goes from there, with your setup. :)

That combined with blue should hit the absorption maximas just fine. Corals absorb mostly blue, but I have seen charts that indicate red and even a bit of green absorbed.

I like the looks of the Kessil's best around the 40% range myself if they are stand alone. You definitely add some greens yellows and reds there.

How low should the output be when acclimating? My coral have been under pc lights for months at this point.

Are you talking about a A350 or the A360? The A350w doesn't have Kessil logic
