kessil a350w tuna blue who has them?

So I am planning on converting three systems in to one and I am looking at the Kessil A350W tuna blue for my lighting over a 48L X 20 W tank do you think two of the cannons with 120 optics on them would be enough or would three be better? and if anyone has kessels please let me know how you feel about them thanks in advance Steve.

I have 1 Kessil a350 over my 40 Breeder (36"x18"x16") and I love it.

I was starting out with a mixed reef, but might convert to a
all lps tank.

With the a350, I am getting about 30" in coverage with the light hanging about 12-15" above water level.

For your tank, 3 should be good enough.

I would go to Kessil's Facebook page and look at all the reefers using theor fixture.

I love my LED fixture and won't go back to T5's.

nice they seem to be a good fixture and the color output is amazing do you have the dimmable one? and what kind of optics are you using?

I have the 350W version and I think its a great light. IMO the coral growth, including SPS, is very good and so is color but i also have a very shallow tank (12 inch). The point source lighting provides a very intense shimmer which I like (some do not). The light also puts out almost no heat and has very small (and i think attractive) housing.

Biggest drawback is the inability to control dawn & dusk settings with timers as it only has a single power cord (you can manually dim/control white and blue). I also believe it is not compatible with any controllers. If these points are big deal to you then I would look at others.

Faviafreak has a kessil thread that has some good pics in it. That thread was the one to convince me to get the light.

I definitely think you should try and see the fixture before you purchase 3 of them for your new DT...the manual dimming is a big deal for me personally but i love the light output and am happy I purchased one.

I also believe that to lower the shimmer amount of the tank do not just add less surface agitation? but you also loose alot of gas exchange when doing this correct?
