So i have the controller and im wondering if anyone has a good program they like. I run my lights for 11 hours, i do a slow ramp up then 100 percent intensity for 4-5 hours and a slow ramp down. im kinda having issues with diatom so im wondering if the light is to much, but this aquarium is in my living room and the sunlight may comes through.

Imo its probably not so much to do with your lighting, put it this way I have 2x a500x over a 3ft cube 30" deep, that's a lot of light. I have no controller, it's only on a timer so it's full intensity for 10 hours and I don't have any diatoms. What are your nutrients like.

How old is your tank? I had a major diatom and Dino bloom switching from the ai prime to the kessil a360. I ended up shutting it off completely for 5 days, then slowly ramping it up by 5% increments. Like 5% start/ 10% peak for 5 days, then 10% start /15% peak for 5 days, etc. that strategy has helped with the algae. Here’s what I’m currently at

For so fresh system, diatomes are normal.....

In month old tank, everything is normal, just let it play out and sort by itself...

If u dont have corals yet, and i hope that you dont, just turn your light off, for another month, to minimize this ugly stage while tank is still fresh......
