I just got one, nice light. I got the narrow version.

Just curious what's everyone got theirs hanging above the water surface at? I got mine 14" above the water surface, thinking it should be closer.

Good to know. My tanks only 18" deep. Yes I'm using it with the Apex. Really awesome light. My only wish is you could tune reds a bit more.

I have mine about 8in above the surface at 80% intensity midday. I have the wide angle though so you would probably have a lot higher par than me. My tank is like 21in deep.

Mine is that high off the water and I have a shallow tank. I run the color up to 55% max and ramp intensity to 100% for a couple hours. Be careful not to blast corals with bright intensity right away, they're brighter than they look. I found that my corals grow better when the color doesn't go over 65%.

I have them over my 120, connected to a apex. Tank is 24" tall and they are 9" off the water. I supplement with dual T5 during mid day though.

been running kessil 360we's for a couple months. So for I bleached the birdsnest and potatochip. also lost 2 hammers. I thought more light was better. So I'm at a new start. Where do most of you run the numbers at? I have the new spectrum controller from kessil, love it. I was running for five hours 100% intensity and color. That was my mistake. I set it today for 4 hours ramping up to 70% intensity 60% color. I'm leaving it there for 4 hours then ramping down last 4 hours. am I good there or not. Don't want to add anymore corals till I figure this out. Duncon does well but no growth from the candycanes. Please help

Strange you would bleach them. I've often wondered how potent is the uv from it though. I got mine on for at 100% for 2 hours and ramped up and down from 6am to 9pm. The exenia loves it hasn't bleached nor the star polyps. However my gbta looks very stressed but has been doing poorly since I got it.

Suggest turning them down. Whatever you think is about right is probably too bright, that's how it was for me anyway.

I had no growth for a while and bleached a few colonies when I first installed the Kessil 360. Turned down the intensity, shortened the lighting period for a while and turned the color down to 40% for a couple weeks. Then when they started opening up again fully I slightly ramped it up every couple weeks. Getting nice growth again now :)

Been running 14 hour days starting at all blue then ramp up to all white then back down to all blues. Intensity is %75 all day.

I had the exact same issue a couple weeks ago when I added my 4 kessils and 2 t5bulbs!! I turned them down to about 40% color and peaking out at 50% intensity max when the t5 lights are on and it has helped dramatically!! Doesn't look bright but the intensity is a different story...love the lights though

well I added a Kenya tree and it seems to stay closed up. is it due to the lower light setting? all my perimeters are good. ph 8.3 temp 78 alk 9.8 calcium 410 mag 1280 sal 1.26
