@Dukes707 tell me your A360WE program please (in intensity, color and time)?

Yes the A350 and A360 will cover a 24" cube. I ran one on my 60g just fine and it was the narrow version. I just mounted it around 15" above the water surface. I'm now running the same light over my Reefer 170. I had mainly lps and softies with some sps. Yes you can grow sps just fine under Kessils but you will get shadowing and I've found it harder for them to stay true to their color. If you're looking to go sps dominant I'd go t5, halide or a combo of both. If you go led look at the Hydra 26HD. Water quality and consistency play a bigger part then the lighting anyway but you can get the coverage you need with one A350/360.

Yes im using just one 360we over a 30 gallon cube. I can keep them on the sandbed cause it's really shallow

Thanks @dailydriven911 ! What's your lighting program?

This is using the Kessil controller. Some people do 50% max some 100%. I'm 22" off the water with the narrow version and eventually will get up to 100%. If you have a Kessil arm I'd start at 50% and work your way up every few weeks or so.

I see .. so yours 24 width x 24 length x 12 depth... so quite shallow.

Mine is 24 x 24 x 24 ... twice the depth.

Can I see your lighting program please @Dukes707 ?

Do you see grow in your SPS, without hurting your LPS and softies?

I don't mean to mislead anyone. Half of the corals in my tank are being babysat for a buddy. My own corals have done well and laid down new growth since i got them. I haven't had a problem with the mix of lps sps and softies. Growth isn't as fast as when I used 250w MH. But personally I'm not in a rush for everything to grow out super fast either.

Ok @Dukes707 yours 13 hours total of light.
yours @dailydriven911 is 12 hours total of light.

@Dukes707 yours quite blue whilst @dailydriven911 mimic sunrise peak then sunset

intensity wise, @Dukes707 is more subtle compared to @dailydriven911 ... i would assume this probably because he's shallow tank.

;)Indeed. All in all I think the Kessil 360we is a fine light for my purposes. I'm trying to minimize the carbon footprint so I don't want to supplement with t5. If there are shadows so be it;the critters will modify their growth pattern to optimize their photosynthesis anyway. I can't afford to let things get too big anyway. Real estate is at a premium in my little world. :D

Can't agree more re real estate being premium in my country too.

I think i've concluded this discussion about 1 unit of Kessil A360 (whether that's wide or narrow) should be able to sustain and grow SPS corals in 2 foot cube (although with some negativity i.e. shadowing).

Thanks for all the input contributed to this thread. Much appreciated folks! :)

You can control them threw the spectraum controller as well they grow the **** out of everything. I have had a a160 over my frag tank for just over a week had zoas that have been closed for months open within a hour
I'm only growing softies but wonder how you have your Kessels set. I have two 350's over a 72 gallon tank. I also have an Apex controller but very techy. Can you tell me how much intensity and how long your Kessels run?

I only have one 160 over my frag tank, stuff that have looked like crap has colored up in 2 days, max intensity is only at 10-15 %, color is 20 % max, my zoas love it sps are adjusting, I just recently bought 2 a360W to put over my 75 display, they come in next week. You cant beat the shimmer and color blending with this light!

What settings do you run yours on the controller i am trying to have mine produce more corals .

Intensity ramps up over 180 min from 15 to 90
Then at night ramps down to 15.
Color 200 minutes 100 to 75
Then then over 180 minutes at night ramps to 15
