how about a top down shot?

Amazing

I have a 50 cube and have a 20 inch razor on it now. As much as I like that razor I also like Kessils and have a kessil 360 we that I'm not using .. Thinking of hooking it up but worried it might cause shadows with sps and that sps may tend to all grow towards the center as that is a single point source

They are about 10 to 12 inches above water surface. 97% intensity 45% color. Per kessil, color doesn't matter, not to go against that but...... I have better coraline growth with blue color vs. white.

Are you using an Apex?

Yes I am.
Lights on 0800
0900 to 1100 ramp up intensity
1000 to 1200 ramp up color
1201 to 1700 day light
1701 to 1900 ramp down color
1800 to 2000 ramp down intensity
2001 to 2300 is set at 12% intensity 0% color
2301 to 0759 lights are off.

Thanks.
That single point growth is a myth. I have had these lights the day they came out and unchanged. It makes an umbrella affect and grows normal with the wide lense(w). If you had a (n) lense narrow, I would think it's plausible

I don't see any obvious shadows, but I'm using the 360WE so it covers a large area.

I had two BTA's under my AI Vega Colors for over a year and they never bubbled. I've had my rainbow BTA under the Kessil's for about 4 mths and over the last week it started bubbling up!

Which Kessils are you running?

I love my kessil tank looks nothing like the ones above but sooner or later it will. There customer service is great, and there 2 year warranty you can't go wrong.

Anyone have any updates on their tanks and experiences with this light?? I am debating on getting 3 or 4 of them for my 180 mixed reef...I'm just nervous because I see some people talk about the "shading" on their SPS colonies and I was just wondering if anyone had any updates of their tanks and if they still love the kessil 360??

With the Black Friday sale I was going to buy 2 for my 90 gallon do you think would be good on a 4 foot tank? I was think of adding 2 t5 build too

Definitely for spread and light coverage you will be good to go!! Only reason I went with an extra one was because a lot of people were talking about shading wih some sps but if you have the t5s I think u would be all set!

Did you see a dramatic change in your electric bill? I’m considering changing from MH but with the initial investment don’t know if it is worth it.

I run 3 A360Wes over my 120 & 2 over my 65 and I love them. Just be forewarned: the almighty marketing folks at Kessil have discontinued the a360we in favor of the 360x dongle version which (currently) does NOT work with Apex.

I'm aware this is an old thread
